About Us

[ Outline of Kamogawa-kai ]
  1. We organize visits to traditional industries, high-tech enterprises, cultural properties and historic sites once every month. We also plan activities that enhance the appreciation of art, lectures by people from Japan and abroad, experiences of Japanese traditional culture and much more.
  2. We offer members' houses for parties or lessons in calligraphy, ikebata, origami, cooking, wearing kimono and so on, so that overseas friends can better understand Japanese life. We organize cooking classes and talks at members' homes with our friends from overseas to introduce their countries' customs and habits.
  3. Most program are free for overseas friends. But sometimes a small covering fee will be requested.
  4. Our newsletter is put up at universities in Kyoto. Kyoto City International Community House and about 20 other places. We send our newsletter to people who are not able to find it.
